So I'm out and about, I'm at starbucks at the moment. Not for coffee of course, for free internet. Anywho, with the purchase of my new mini camera, I have been happy to take pictures of my surroundings, and document to the best of my ability what I did in the day. Not only so that I can recall, but also so that other people can take awe in what I see. Well today that's a little different. I went out to wall-mart I think like 3.5 Miles each way (There and back), got some Motor Oil & an Oil filter, and then stopped at starbucks (Where I am now). After riding all over the place I wish I would have brought my camera. Instead of waiting for the battery to charge, I just headed out the door. Oh well, so many cool things that, only I can see (Or rather pay attention to) I see so many great things around me, but only now do I take a little time to look at them. For example, when I would drive up to wall-mart; I could get there in a matter of minutes, as opposed to like 15-20 minutes on bicycle. Yet for all the extra time that I spend on riding my bicycle I make up for in personal awe. On the way back I saw one of the better sunsets/cloud cover that I have seen. And I totally miss not having my camera... Oh well, there will be another day. And for that other day I'll post pictures...
I made a new name for Today in a Nutshell... Which I might move to week or bi-week in a nutshell. Anywho "Daycap," it's a mix between Day and Recap. Also something that is bugging me is that the site isn't valid css anymore because of seesmic, so I don't know how I'm going to fix it just yet, but I'll have to find out a way. I'll try and post the images from my day today, otherwise I'll prolly never get it done, or forget about it.

So I found a cheater way to update my site.
Why not post video's, it took me like miliseconds to do all this stuff, and it gives you a little glimpse into my boring life... Anywho, I hope to frame up the next "what did I do today" a little better, and I didn't want to waste time on making it look purty, so deal with it. For all you people with macbooks (like me :() post a response. I would love to hear from ya. As for those pictures:

Finally this beast is all killed and cooked up. It took a lot of time due to Christian finishing up school, me starting work, and finishing school; but it's finally done. Check it out, there are some really neat images on the site. Let me know what you think. I coded the whole site with no intentions of using flash, and achieved a beautiful and functional site. Check out the 'Projects' Gallery. There are some really neat long photos that look great with the photo viewer. Anywho drop a line and tell me what you think. And check out the portfolio page if you would like a little more information about the site.
Posted on 13 Jun 2008 by fsk141 in: Fsk141 BackendI've spent hours yesterday and today working on the backend to the site. I was working on making the site all up to par, and making it W3C valid. I ended up taking the task of making it XHtml 1.0 Strict, which was a ton of work, but I guess it's cool. It's the newest standard, and I feel special. I first tried XHtml 1.1, and validate against it, yet I needed to change some mime type crap, and decided to just go with 1.0. I spent a ton of time working on this for the homepage, yet haven't followed suit with all the other pages. It should only take another hour or so to finish it up on all the pages, yet I think I will make myself a little php template system before I go and make all the pages validated. Currently I'm using some modular php snippets for the site. I have multiple php includes that include the different static sections of the site. I hope to have a fully modular site in the future, and might end up making a php backend so that I can edit one place, and add new pages and whatnot?
Well not really, but I got on the radio today. I called in on the John and Ken show at around 6PM today, and in about 8 minutes I got on the show. I was nervous, and tried to get my point across, and they (John and Ken) understood what I was trying to say, but it was hard for many people I would figure. I kinda stumbled with my words... Anywho it was kinda neat, and I just thought you might want to know.
Well I added google search >>> Look to the right. It's pretty swell, yet the options that I'm left with are minimal to integrate into the website. I would like to make it fit the center portion of the site, yet the minimum width of the final page is 800px. I don't have 800 px to spare, so I just choose to have a blank white page with the results. Oh well I guess, but I will try and integrate it into the site when they make it modular, or size requirements are made a little smaller.
